Youngsters will learn the art of fishing and about conservation at the annual Kid’s Fishing Clinic at Tenkiller State Park on May 21.
Children ages 4 through 13 are invited to participate and fish in a stocked pond for catfish provided by the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation. The kids will sharpen their skills with the help of hands-on learning stations.
Once a child completes all the learning stations they are free to fish until lunch, which is free. The lunch is provided by Tenkiller Park Partners, who will appreciate a donation that will go towards next year’s fishing clinic.
Prizes will be given to children who complete the clinic.
For more information contact the park at (918) 489-5641.
