Church Break-in Under Investigation

Muldrow police were on the scene Wednesday morning, collecting fingerprints and evidence, at the Muldrow Church of the Nazarene.

Police Chief George Lawson said the church was broken into apparently on Monday night and about $6,000 in equipment was stolen. The thieves gained access though the basement. Stolen were two video projectors, a laptop computer, microphones and receivers, a camcorder and tripod stand.

Lawson said, “There is no doubt in my mind that it is someone local.”

Church pastor Carl Fugett said church services will continue on Sunday at usual.

Anyone with information about the theft is asked to contact Muldrow Police Department at 918-427-4431.
