A single vehicle accident that occurred at approximately 5:56 p.m. Tuesday on Highway 12 in Springtown, Arkansas in Benton County left a Sallisaw man dead from injuries sustained.
According to the Arkansas State Police report, Danny Warren Ritter, 67, of Sallisaw was driving a 2001 Ford F150 west on Highway 12 when the vehicle drifted off the roadway to the left, traveled through a fence and across a field before striking a tree.
Ritter was transported to Siloam Springs Hospital and pronounced dead.
The report lists weather conditions at the time of the accident as clear and road conditions as dry.
