The 5th Annual Back to School Roundup will be Saturday, Aug. 3 for students in Sequoyah County.
The roundup event will be held at the Sallisaw Rodeo Arena and will provide school supplies from 10 a.m. to noon but the gate won’t open until 9 a.m.
Students must be present to receive supplies. The 500th student to register will receive a backpack filled with school supplies.
Backpacks are for Sequoyah County students only!
The event will also feature giveaways, free games, free photos and free food.
No smoking is allowed at the event.
Other Aug. 3 activities include a 1k Fun Run beginning at 7 a.m. Aug. 3 and the Red Bird 5k will start at 7:30 a.m. on the 3rd.
Sponsors for the event include the Mix 105.1, People Inc., the Sallisaw Lions Club, KiBois Community Action, the Health and Wellness Center, the Sallisaw Now Coalition, the Boys and Girls Club of Sequoyah County and more.
