The Sallisaw Ministerial Alliance has scheduled a school supply giveaway, but it will be a bit different from previous years.
Kory Boster, pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church in Sallisaw, said that this year the alliance will be gathering supplies and giving them to teachers rather than to the students themselves.
There will not be a large public event, Boster said, but folks can donate supplies at Immanuel Baptist Church, 1101 N Wheeler, in Sallisaw. The supplies will be collected Wednesday, July 31, at the church. The alliance will then pack up the donations and drop them off at Sallisaw schools.
The supplies collected will be for Sallisaw students only, Boster said.
