The Sallisaw Chamber of Commerce is once again offering its Leadership Sallisaw/Sequoyah County "Promoting Leadership through Learning " class. This class is for anyone interested in learning about the workings of city and county government along with learning about local educational entities and healthcare facilities.
Debby Keith, a previous class participant, stated, "The leadership classes helped me gain knowledge of how different organizations in my community work and who I could contact if I need information."
Classes for 2017 begin May 5th. The deadline to sign up is Monday, May 1st.
There is no charge for these classes but the Chamber does ask that you be committed to attending the classes once a month.
"The speakers were very engaging and I learned many things about our community 'workings' that I didn't know before," MaryLynn Lufkin commented about the classes.
To sign up or for more information contact the Sallisaw Chamber of Commerce at 918-775-2558.
