Sheriff Presents Awards at Annual Ceremony

Sequoyah County Sheriff Ron Lockhart recently presented awards at the Sheriff's Department Annual Christmas Dinner and Awards Presentation. Helen Edwards, long time Sequoyah County Sheriff's Department Employee, received a plaque for being voted the 2014 Reserve Deputy of the Year. Edwards was nominated and voted on by fellow employees. She received a standing ovation from the large crowd present at the ceremony.

Also receiving awards were Roger Fuller, Deputy of the Year; Caleb Edwards, Jailer of the Year; Janell Ontman, Dispatcher of the Year and Christy Goodwin, Civilian Employee of the Year. 

Receiving special recognition awards were the Oklahoma Bureau of Investigation, Higher Call Auction Service, Rick Turpin, Scott Sharp, Rick Sharp and Deputy George Bormann.
