Precinct Help Needed

   

HELP WANTED: Low pay, but plenty of satisfaction. Will train. Must be willing to work long hours, but only a few days each year. Apply at the Sequoyah County Election Board office at 110 E. Creek Ave., Sallisaw, 74955.

Cindy Osborn, Sequoyah County Election Board secretary, issued a call for volunteers to help conduct elections at the precinct level.

The position of Inspector pays $97 per election, while all the other positions pay $87 per election.

To qualify for the job, one must be a registered voter in the county. A Precinct Official may hold no other offices under the laws of the state (such as school board member or city councilman). A Precinct Official may not be related to or employed by a candidate for office.
