A kingfisher attorney suffered torso and head injuries after falling from a 1984 60-foot Sun Setter houseboat Saturday on Lake Tenkiller.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) Marine Division reported Daniel Stake, 61, was the operator of the vessel, which was beached on the shore of Skunk Island. He was on the top deck of the vessel when he fell to the shore. The incident occurred at about 5:59 p.m. Saturday.

Stake was transported by Pafford EMS to the hospital in Sallisaw where he was admitted in critical condition with torso and head injuries. He was transported later by ambulance to the Neurology Department at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City where he was diagnosed with a concussion, other head injuries and dislocated ribs.
