Did You Feel the Shake?


Many residents of Oklahoma, Arkansas and surrounding states felt the shake of a 5.3 magnitude earthquake that struck near Cushing, Oklahoma at 7:44 p.m. Sunday night.

According to the U.S. Geological Survey the 5.3 earthquake was centered 2 miles west of Cushing, which is located about 50 miles northeast of Oklahoma City. But even centered that far away, many homes in our area felt the strong shaking.

There have been no reports of damage or injuries in our area as a result of this earthquake. However, the Cushing Fire Department is reporting that downtown Cushing has "significant damage".
