A Gore man was listed in critical condition Tuesday after his vehicle was hit head on at about 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, on State Highway 20, about four miles west of Claremore.
Marlin Scott Burns, 53, was transported to St. John Medical Center in Tulsa where he was admitted in critical condition with head, internal and external injuries, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.
Burns’ wife, Tina Joy Burns, 51, was also transported to St. John Medical Center where she was treated and released, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) reported.
The OHP reported the Burns were in their 2007 Lincoln SUV when hit by a 2008 Ford pickup driven by Aaron Rabbit Hare, 32, of Claremore. Hare was admitted to St. John Medical Center in Tulsa and was listed in serious but stable condition, the OHP reported.
The OHP reported Hare drove left of the center line in a marked no-passing zone and struck the Burns’ SUV head on.
All three were wearing their seat belts, the OHP reported.
