In a story we brought you here earlier, Special District Judge Holli Wells has ruled in favor of Sallisaw Police Chief Shaloa Edwards. This ruling will reportedly make him eligible to return to his duties pending an upcoming city council meeting. Edwards was suspended for 90 days in March 2013 under accusations of inappropriately borrowing from a city cash fund. According to Sallisaw Mayor Shannon Vann the Sallisaw City Council will review the ruling and decide on any possible actions at the next council meeting to be held Monday night.
