A Parkhill fisherman died March 12 after his kayak overturned, according to a police report.
Robert W. Atchley, 55, was fishing in the Big Hollow area of Lake Tenkiller, about 7.5 miles southeast of Tahlequah.
Atchley failed to return that evening and did not make it to work the next day. His father and stepmother called the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office to report him missing.
Atchley’s body was discovered March 13 by Troop W’s Marine Enforcement team.
