Free Haircuts Cancelled Due to Conflicting Schedules

The Back-to-School Haircuts, introduced last year by Amanda Horn of Sister’s Salon in Sallisaw, has been cancelled this year.

Horn said the stylists who volunteered their efforts last year have conflicting scheduling dates and were unable to participate.

Horn said, “But we will hand out our Hygiene Bag Love Packs. We still want to be a blessing to the community.”

The packs will be distributed at the Back-to-School Action at the Park on Aug. 6 at the Sallisaw Creek Park on Sallisaw’s west side. The event is being held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and offers free gifts, games, and other activities.

The Mix 105.1 will be broadcasting live from this popular event.
