The Oklahoma State Election Board has issued an order for a recount of the votes cast is Sequoyah County's election of an associate district judge. The recount will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday in Sequoyah County District Court in Sallisaw. Candidate Matt Orendorff, a Sallisaw attorney, lost that election on Tuesday by 13 votes. Orendorff said he decided to ask for a recount after encouragement from his supporters who had worked so hard on his behalf. Orendorff collected 4,016 votes while his opponent, attorney Kyle Waters, received 4,029. Orendorff filed his request for a recount Friday, and it was approved by Paul Ziriax, state election board secretary. By Sally Maxwell, Senior News Director
