The Board of Sequoyah County Commissioners approved a Memorandum of Agreement between the Cherokee Nation and Sequoyah County to provide construction, improvement, right-of-way acquisitions and/or utility relocations for roads and/or bridges within the county.
Steve Rutherford, the county’s Emergency Management director, said there have been four new cases of the coronavirus in Sequoyah County, bringing the total number of cases to 636. The death toll remains at 8, he said.
The commissioners also:
*Approved the designations of Cindy Osborn and Abby Smith as requisitioning agents for the Sequoyah County Election Board
*Approved the designations of Tiffany Biles and Merle Rowe as receiving agents for the Sequoyah County Election Board
The commissioners then entered into an executive session to discuss audit findings from the SAC Nutrition Center.
