Mark Riffey

Oklahoma Department of Corrections Fugitive Apprehension and Investigations agents and Sequoyah County Sherrif’s deputies have arrested two in the walkaway last week of a Jess Dunn Correctional Center inmate.

Corbett Perkins and Dee Riffey were booked into the Sequoyah County Jail on Friday for complaints of harboring a fugitive. Perkins was also booked for assault and battery on a police officer and obstruction of justice.

Perkins is the brother-in-law of JDCC walkaway Mark Riffey, who walked away May 29 from the minimum security prison for men in Taft. Dee Riffey is the inmate’s wife.

Spiro police located and took Riffey into custody Monday after receiving a call from a member of the public about a man matching his description walking through a parking lot.

Riffey was arrested without incident, and was booked at the LeFlore County jail.

When he walked away from the Jess Dunn Correctional Center, Riffey was serving time for kidnapping, rape, child abuse, and assault and battery on a police officer convictions out of Sequoyah County.
