Pedestrian Critically Injured

A 47-year-old Oklahoma City man was critically injured when he stepped into the path of a car driven by a Cookson teen on Sunday.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) reported Robert Patrick Barry was listed in critical condition at the OU Medical Center with head, internal and leg injuries.

The OHP reported Barry was standing in the middle of Interstate 44 eastbound when he stepped into the lane of a 2013 Chrysler driven by Emma Realy, 17, of Cookson. Realy and her three passengers were not injured in the collision, the OHP reported.

Barry was thrown about 80 feet from the point of the impact, the OHP reported.
