Cherokees Announce Job Fairs for Expanded Casino

There's good news for those seeking jobs in Sequoyah County. Cherokee Nation Career Services is hosting a series of job fairs to help fill job opening created by the expansion of Cherokee Casino & Hotel Roland. Attendees should bring their CDIB, tribal citizenship cards and an updated resume. Positions are available in gaming, hospitality, and food and beverage.

A spokesman said Cherokee Nation-owned companies offer a comprehension benefits package, including health, life, vision and dental insurance; a 401k matching plan; paid vacation and sick leave; and many other benefits. Native American applicants will be given preference, and all applicants must be 18 years of age or older to apply.

Job fair dates and locations are as follows:

-March 7 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Cherokee Nation Career Services Sallisaw Field Office at 100 E. Choctaw Ave. in Sallisaw;

-March 10 from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at People Inc. Conference Center at 205 J.T. Stites Blvd. in Sallisaw;

-March 17 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Roland High School at 300 Ranger Blvd.
