Assault & Battery Charges Against Sallisaw Man

A 32 year-old Sallisaw man was charged last week in Sequoyah County District Court with assault and battery.  Shawn Michael Stephens is accused of beating another man so badly that the victim had an "orbital fracture," according to the police report.

Stephens is free on a $4,000 bond.
