Sallisaw Man Sought in Embezzlement Case

George Wesley Wildin

An arrest warrant was issued Dec. 2 for a Sallisaw man.

George Wesley Wildin, 36, is being sought on an embezzlement charge after he allegedly borrowed a woman’s vehicle and refused to return it.

According to the police report, Kristi Hamilton had loaned her 2002 Pontiac Montana van to Wildin on Nov. 15. Wildin told Hamilton he was going to Tulsa.

Initially hesitant to loan Wildin the vehicle, Hamilton eventually agreed on condition that Wildin return the van Nov. 19.

On Nov. 20, Hamilton reportedly learned that Wildin had transferred his probation and parole to Tulsa. She does not know his location at this time and all attempts to get the man to return the vehicle have failed.

The felony charge is punishable by imprisonment in the State Penitentiary for up to two years, or in the county jail for up to one year, by a fine of up to $5,000 or both imprisonment and fine.
