The announcement of a postponing of the Willie Nelson concert scheduled for Tuesday, November 26 was made by the Walton Arts Center Saturday.
The reason for the postponement is that the bus on which the Willie Nelson band was riding was in- volved in an accident on Interstate 30 outside Sulphur Springs, Texas. The incident happened early Saturday morning when the tour bus driver was trying to drive in heavy rains and winds, causing the bus to spin out of control and hit a bridge pillar.
Three band members were hospitalized. One has an ankle injury, another suffered a bruised hip and the third has a cracked rib. According to Nelson's website, no one was seriously injured and all are expected to fully recover. There were five band members and the driver on the bus at the time of the accident.
Their four dates remaining in November are postponed. The tour will be resumed in December as scheduled. Ticket holders are to hold all tickets until further information is announced, officials said.
